CoinW Announcement on Hidden Token Rules
Published on: 2023/07/07 11:39Last Update: 2025/01/01 15:35

As a digital asset trading platform, CoinW is committed to providing a healthy and stable trading environment for users. In order to protect user interests and promote the healthy development of the blockchain industry, we continuously monitor the tokens listed on our platform. Tokens that are unable to sustain operations and pose security risks will be issued warnings, and tokens with severe violations will be hidden or delisted. Hidden tokens will not be displayed in the currency list or price change rankings, but their trading will remain unaffected. Users need to actively search for token names to view and trade hidden tokens in the spot trading area.

Rules for Hidden Trading Pairs

The rules for hidden token trading pairs include, but are not limited to, the following rules. Although the rules below may not be exhaustive, CoinW typically evaluates whether a token or trading pair of a blockchain innovation project should initiate the process of being hidden or delisted based on the following assessment criteria:

1. Project and Team Aspects

1.1. In the event of significant changes in project teams, products, or business models, CoinW must be notified for reevaluation. CoinW will objectively evaluate the project based on its specific circumstances. Unauthorized changes, transfers, or sales of projects without CoinW's consent will result in delisting.

1.2. If project team members, including founders, co-founders, and advisors, provide false personal information or are suspected of market manipulation, face significant legal issues, or negative implications (such as involvement in drug-related activities or data theft), CoinW will conduct background checks on team members and temporarily suspend trading during the investigation. If the investigation yields positive results, trading will resume; otherwise, delisting will occur.

1.3. If the project itself is reported by the SEC or other national, regional judicial authorities, regulatory bodies, etc., for suspected illegal activities.

2. Token and Trading Aspects

2.1. If temporary increases in token total supply or forks occur without providing 15 days' prior notice to the trading platform and users.

2.2. If the average daily trading volume for a single trading pair is below 5 BTC for a consecutive week or there is zero trading volume within a 24-hour period.

2.3. If the project team intentionally conceals significant events that may severely impact token prices.

2.4. If team and foundation addresses are not disclosed on the official website or social media, and if tokens are not used according to the disclosed lock-up mechanism.

3. Operational Aspects

3.1. If there are significant discrepancies in information disclosure, deceiving users and the trading platform.

3.2. If the website becomes inaccessible and social media or communities remain unattended for more than two weeks.

3.3. If mainstream social media accounts such as WeChat official accounts, Facebook, Twitter, etc., are not established, and there is no ability to respond to negative media coverage.

3.4. If there is no disclosure of project progress on social media or official websites for one month (such as development progress, version updates, team dynamics, etc.).

3.5. If project promotion or market activities severely harm CoinW or community interests.

4. Project Implementation

4.1. If project development does not proceed according to the planned timeline in the whitepaper and there are delays without any official announcements.

4.2. If the source code (GitHub) for public chain/protocol-layer projects remains unchanged for three months, or if there are no updates for application-based project products for three months.

4.3. If the project is suspected of engaging in illegal activities such as money laundering, fraud, or pyramid schemes.

5. Technical Security Issues

5.1. If there are security risks during mainnet transitions, and the project team refuses to pay a risk deposit.

5.2. If smart contract codes contain security vulnerabilities such as overflow.

5.3. If the project has experienced or is susceptible to 51% attacks or fork issues.

In the further investigation, if the aforementioned actions by the project team are confirmed, we will proceed with the delisting process. However, if the investigation yields positive results and the project team demonstrates appropriate adjustments to address the violations, we will restore the related trading pairs to the trading area to promote cooperation and development with the project team. We always strive to establish a positive working relationship with project teams and ensure the sustainable and healthy operation of projects on our platform, providing users with a better trading experience.

CoinW may hide tokens or delist trading pairs without prior notice to users, although in most cases, we will announce it in advance. The specific timeline for hiding or delisting a token will be determined based on the announcement's release time, as the security risks associated with each token may vary.

To create a healthy trading environment, we rely on the support and assistance of our users. We encourage users to actively provide us with the latest information about various projects to assist our evaluation process. We understand that delisting trading pairs or hiding tokens may cause inconvenience to users, and we sincerely apologize for that. We appreciate the understanding of our valued users.
